Michelle Babitz

Together they bring more than sixty years of experience serving children and adults with autism, intellectual disabilities, and developmental disabilities. Their professional experience has included program development, expressive arts therapies, family support, advocacy, direct service, consultation, and professional training. Throughout their careers, they have witnessed how dramatically relationships can change when professionals and caregivers stop asking only, “How do we change this behavior?” and begin asking, “What is this person trying to tell us?”Behind the Mask grew from those experiences. It combines professional knowledge with real stories, experiential learning, sensory awareness, and practical approaches that help participants see autism through a more human and compassionate lens.
